The 2022 - 2023 winter training series is over again!
And what fun it was! a select group of enthusiastic vaulters have had 6 afternoons of training with us in Wapse. In addition to vaulting, we also emphasized theory. We have had 3 guest trainers; Chaja Voest from de freestyle academy.
In addition, our own Anouk Simons, as a veterinarian. And Daniel Janes from the USA.
Chaja discussed horse behavior, leadership and why a horse responds to you and why. Anouk has let them know everything about the veterinary part, how does a horse move, how do you listen to the heartbeat, how is your temperature, etc. super interesting!
Daniel has gone into the technique of swings.
In addition to these training sessions, Heleen and Nienke supervised the vaulters, theory about the compulsories, effective training and lunging were offered, among other things.
